Gill lives in West London but maintains a strong link with Camberwell – she has an MA in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts (2012) and has taken part in the Camberwell Arts Festival Made in Camberwell and the Camberwell Open.
She is primarily a printmaker, with her practice founded on printmaking and the concept of the multiple. Her geometric work takes inspiration from the strong, bold graphics of the Art Deco period, mid century design and the visual illusions of Op Art. She likes to combine different printmaking techniques in her work – from the more traditional techniques of screenprinting and embossing to digital print and laser technology – to create 2D and 3D works that explore light, texture and movement.
She regularly sells her prints and greetings cards at Art Fairs and exhibits in London and further afield. She is again taking part in her local Richmond upon Thames Art House Open Studios Festival in June and July (www.arthouseopenstudios.co.uk).
