I am a multi-disciplined artist working with photography, film and video.
IN 2013, I held a one man exhibition, ‘Bermondsey Street Odyssey’ at the Sugar Cube, Tanner Street in September 2013. Inspired by Victorian photographer and colourist, Alfred Henry Bool, Richard’s work comprised of prints capturing ‘moments in time’ in and around Bermondsey Street.
This was soon followed in December 2013 by ‘Bermondsey and Beyond’, a collaboration with other Southwark artists, and then ‘South of the River’ a one man exhibition at The Palmerston, East Dulwich in October 2014. In addition, I exhibited works in the Camberwell Open exhibition in June 2015, and held a pop-up exhibition in Bermondsey Street as part of the Bermondsey Art Trail in July 2015.
The premiere of my film Save the Rose, following the 1989 archeological dig on Bankside was screened at the Rose Playhouse, in February 2014. My animated film The Scratch, and a video short, Light Fantastic were screened at the Shortwave Cinema as part of the Bermondsey Art Trail in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
I am currently working on new film and video projects, and working on a variety of new print commissions.
